GunBroker.com is excited to introduce the first installment in a new series spotlighting standout Sellers who power the GunBroker.com online marketplace.
For those less familiar with GunBroker.com, here’s a quick overview: Launched in 1999, GunBroker.com is the world’s largest online platform dedicated to firearms, ammunition, shooting sports gear, and outdoor equipment. The Marketplace enables third-party Sellers to list a wide range of items—from firearms and hunting gear to fishing equipment, outdoor supplies, collectibles, and more.
As a regulated marketplace, GunBroker.com facilitates compliance with federal and state laws that govern the sale of firearms and other restricted items. This allows our growing base of over 8.5 million registered users to purchase with confidence, knowing transactions are completed through our network of approximately 32,000 federally licensed firearms dealers (FFLs) who serve as transfer agents.
GunBroker.com provides a safe, efficient, and user-friendly e-commerce experience that supports the needs of both Buyers and Sellers. Through this Seller Spotlight series, we aim to showcase the unique offerings and entrepreneurial stories that make our community thrive.

THE ARMORIES
Recently, GunBroker.com had a chance to meet up with Matt Brett, General Manager of The Armories. The Armories is a three-store operation that has been selling on GunBroker.com since 2009. The Armories stores are in Kissimmee, Winter Garden and Oviedo, Florida.
GUNBROKER.COM: We’ve heard excellent things about The Armories’ customer service. Can you tell us what makes your Customer Service so special?
THE ARMORIES: Our team members strive to bring the best and brightest to our family. Followed by our onboarding and training processes, our staff is our greatest investment, we want to give them the customer service tools to have a world class experience at the counter, online and phone ordering.
GUNBROKER.COM: Do you have dedicated staff members who work on your GunBroker.com business?
THE ARMORIES: Yes, we do. We have dedicated team members that do everything related to our business on GunBroker.com. This includes from taking the photos for each listing, to writing each listing and managing all listings. We have dedicated staff handling all aspects of our GunBroker.com business.
GUNBROKER.COM: Do you feel that the strong customer service that you’ve established in your three stores, carries over to your GunBroker.com online business?
THE ARMORIES: Very much so. We have one standard; provide the best customer service to every customer, all the time.
GUNBROKER.COM: We’ve learned that The Armories has many veterans of the military and law enforcement on your team. How important is their firearms background to your business?
THE ARMORIES: This is true, a large segment of our staff are Veterans. They bring so much depth to our team, in addition to the firearm knowledge, I would say equally or more is the safety culture, the bearing they possess and the ability to follow processes.
GUNBROKER.COM: How important are new technology releases on GunBroker.com to help grow your business?
THE ARMORIES: To be a leader, you must utilize tools that are current and relevant.
GUNBROKER.COM: Do members of the Armories Team personally shop on GunBroker.com? Do they have tools they utilize such as Saved Search / Following Sellers / Importance of giving and receiving feedback etc. that they find useful?
THE ARMORIES: I would be hard pressed to find a team member who does not personally use GunBroker.com, it is a great resource for them. Feedback is key to all transactions, enabling all to learn from the experienced.
GUNBROKER.COM: Do you feel that your business on GunBroker.com will continue to grow as you become more familiar with GunBroker.com new release offerings you may not have utilized in the past but are now familiar with as well as stay in stride with new releases?
THE ARMORIES: I am confident our Gunbroker business will grow, we have already surpassed last year’s total Gunbroker revenue as we’ve implemented a few changes and we anticipate that to continue to move upward.
