AMMO AND GUN SUPPLY: We are in the Finger Lakes region of central New York and operate out of our large commercial warehouse. All our business is conducted directly with clients online where we can reach the broadest market and offer unique items to a worldwide collector market.

AMMO AND GUN SUPPLY: We have been active on GunBroker since 2009. Around 2019 we significantly expanded our listings and diversified our inventory, which helped accelerate our growth. Today, we’re proud to be recognized as a Top 100 Seller on GunBroker.
GUNBROKER.com: We understand you carry unique inventory. Can you tell us a bit about that?
AMMO AND GUN SUPPLY: We import firearms from around the world and spend much of our time abroad sourcing unique and interesting pieces for our clients. Our specialty ranges from best-in-class English, Italian, and Spanish fine firearms to civilian-legal surplus military arms. We are one of the largest independent importers of collectible & surplus firearms in the United States.

AMMO AND GUN SUPPLY: Absolutely! We spend many hours speaking with clients over the phone, often providing detailed verbal “condition reports” where we describe the firearm from butt to muzzle. AMMO AND GUN SUPPLY: The Collector’s Elite platform has been extremely successful for us. We list rare, unusual, or investment-grade firearms where the additional exposure and curated marketing offered by the Collector’s Elite team helps us reach high-end buyers. Past CEA offerings have included pieces such as an Italian-contract Colt Commander in 30 Luger, a Dornaus & Dixon Bren Ten, a Colt Anaconda First Edition, a Beretta Gallery 98FS, a Browning Auto-5 Custom Shop B3 Limited Edition, and many more.
GUNBROKER.com: How important are new technology releases and offerings to help grow your business and stay ahead of competitors?
AMMO AND GUN SUPPLY: We stay current with GunBroker’s newest features and utilize them whenever they benefit our clients. Both the Collector’s Elite Auctions and our GunBroker Storefront have helped buyers easily discover the right firearm for their collection or needs.
GUNBROKER.com: Do members of the AMMO & GUN SUPPLY personally purchase or sell on GunBroker? Do they have tools they utilize such as Saved Search / Following Sellers / Importance of giving and receiving feedback etc. that they find useful?
AMMO AND GUN SUPPLY: Yes—our team actively uses GunBroker for personal purchases. We maintain roughly 15 saved searches and regularly browse new listings to keep track of unique and interesting items appearing on GB. We believe deeply in the importance of buying, selling, and leaving honest feedback.
GUNBROKER.com: Do you feel that your business on GunBroker.com will continue to grow as you become more familiar with GunBroker.com New Technology Release Offerings you may not have utilized in the past but are now familiar with as well as stay in stride with new releases?
AMMO AND GUN SUPPLY: Yes. We plan to continue scaling our presence on GunBroker and will adopt any new features that create a better experience for our customers. When we first started, we had only a handful of listings. Today, we aim to maintain 100+ active auctions in addition to over 200 fixed-price items. We’ve also seen tremendous success with the TAKE-A-SHOT feature, which empowers buyers to make reasonable offers on items they’re interested in.
GUNBROKER.com: Do you have a range or ranges at your stores? If so, do you feel that it retains your customers? Are ranges a strong revenue stream for your business with training, and try it then buy it?
AMMO AND GUN SUPPLY: We do not have an on-site range at our location. Living in central NY where we average 130” of snow a year makes it a real challenge for outside ranges!
